Dayseeker - Replica

The origin story of Replica is one of the best in recent memory. In 2022, Dayseeker's gear overheated mid-set at Blue Ridge Rock Festival. Rather than walk off, vocalist Rory Rodriguez grabbed an acoustic guitar from the van, plugged in, and improvised a five-song set in front of thousands of fans. The response was overwhelming. As Rodriguez later recalled, friends told him it was one of the most special moments they had ever witnessed at a show. The seed was planted, and Replica was the result.

Released via Spinefarm Records and produced, mixed, and mastered by Daniel Braunstein, Replica is a ten-track acoustic reimagining of nine fan favorites from the Southern California band's catalog alongside one stirring cover. Stripped of the hard rock and electronic textures that define their studio records, the songs reveal a new dimension entirely, intimate and emotionally raw in a way that showcases just how strong Dayseeker's songwriting has always been at its core. The collection closes with a genuinely moving acoustic rendition of Evanescence's "My Immortal," a cover that fits the album's mood perfectly.

Guest appearances from Beartooth's Caleb Shomo on "Burial Plot," Holding Absence's Lucas Woodland on "Starving To Be Empty," and indie artist Amber DeLaRosa on "Without Me" each add their own distinct color to a record that Rodriguez has called one of his favorite Dayseeker releases to date. On White & Purple Galaxy vinyl, it is as beautiful to look at as it is to listen to.
