Currents - All That Follows

Currents dropped All That Follows as a surprise release in October 2025, arriving through SharpTone Records with the kind of no-warning energy that fits a band riding a genuine wave of momentum. With sold-out shows on the books and well over 100 million streams behind them, the Connecticut metalcore outfit used the EP to show they're still sharpening their sound rather than coasting on it.

The five tracks lean into the band's blend of crushing riffs and melodic control, produced by Ryan Leitru alongside vocalist Brian Wille and guitarist Chris Wiseman, who co-produced much of the material themselves. Closer "Rise & Fall" stands out as the EP's high point, built on propulsive drums and a riff that trades blows in call-and-response fashion before locking into a hook that clings to the wreckage of something falling apart. It's a fitting end to a record that stays locked in tension between precision and chaos throughout.

All That Follows lands as another step forward for a band that's spent over a decade evolving from its early metalcore roots into one of the more consistent forces in the genre's current landscape, with a back catalog including The Place I Feel Safest, The Way It Ends, and The Death We Seek. This one adds to that run without repeating it.

This pressing comes on orange vinyl with black accents, a limited 12" EP edition that's a solid way to get the record's five tracks on wax before it's gone.
