Doug Martsch's second album with Built to Spill is where the band's sprawling, guitar-heavy indie rock came into full focus, alternating between fuzzed-out riffs ("Israel's Song," "Cleo") and disarmingly tender songwriting ("Car," "Distopian Dream Girl"). It's a cornerstone of '90s indie rock and the record that put Built to Spill on the map before their Warner Bros. run.
This reissue on Up Records restores the original 1994 sequencing and artwork, with a download code included.
