Bob Seger & The Silver Bullet Band - Night Moves (50th Anniversary) [RSD Black Friday 2026]

Bob Seger & The Silver Bullet Band - Night Moves (50th Anniversary) (LP / White Vinyl)

For years Bob Seger was a Detroit legend the rest of the country hadn't caught up with. Night Moves changed that. Released in October 1976, it turned a hardworking regional favorite into a national star, reaching No. 8 on the Billboard 200 and eventually going six times platinum.

The title track, a wistful look back at teenage summers, became his first Top 10 hit, peaking at No. 4. Around it sit "Rock and Roll Never Forgets," "Mainstreet," "The Fire Down Below" and "Sunspot Baby," with the sessions split between the Silver Bullet Band in Detroit and the Muscle Shoals Rhythm Section in Alabama.

Fifty years on, Night Moves is still the heart of the Seger songbook and one of the defining records of American heartland rock.

This 50th anniversary edition was pressed at Third Man Records in Detroit, Seger's hometown, on limited white vinyl for RSD Black Friday. Limited to 4,000 copies.
