Enema of the State is the third studio album by Blink-182, originally released on June 1, 1999, by MCA Records. Produced by veteran punk-rock producer Jerry Finn, who had previously worked on Green Day's breakthrough Dookie, the album cemented Blink-182’s place in the pop-punk pantheon.
Following years of performances at clubs and festivals and several indie releases, Blink-182 gained momentum through the Warped Tour and international exposure, particularly in Australia, after their sophomore album Dude Ranch (1997). Enema of the State also marked the debut of drummer Travis Barker, who replaced original drummer Scott Raynor, bringing a new level of precision and energy to the band’s sound.
Packed with catchy hooks, irreverent humor, and high-octane punk energy, the album remains a defining release of late-90s pop punk.
