A definitive collection and the perfect entry point into one of the most important catalogs in punk history. The Singles brings together all of Bikini Kill's 7-inch releases, making an overwhelming case for Kathleen Hanna, Tobi Vail, Billy Karren, and Kathi Wilcox as one of the most vital and influential bands of their generation.

The nine tracks span three landmark singles: the legendary New Radio (1993), produced by Joan Jett, who also plays guitar and sings on the first three tracks including the iconic "Rebel Girl"; and the long out of print Anti-Pleasure Dissertation (1995) and I Like Fucking (1995), both recorded with producer John Goodmanson. Together they trace a band at the absolute height of their powers, pursuing what one critic described as "the pursuit and politics of joy" with fury, wit, and total conviction. Tobi Vail takes lead vocals on two tracks, including the girl-group inflected "I Hate Danger," a sharp and deceptively playful meditation on the systemic silencing of women.

Originally released on CD only in 1998, this vinyl reissue marks the first time the collection has been pressed to 12-inch, cut at 45rpm for maximum sound quality. An essential document of punk history, finally available in the format it deserves.
