A stone-cold classic returns on wax, and on orange vinyl no less. Originally planned for 1985 to coincide with the onslaught of Elvis's 50th anniversary commemorative reissues, A Date With Elvis arrived in early 1986 on Big Beat Records and went on to sell over 200,000 copies across Europe alone, introducing generation after generation of music fans to The Cramps' one-of-a-kind musical voodoo.

Recorded in the fall of 1985 at Ocean Way Recording in Hollywood and produced by the band themselves, the album holds a unique place in The Cramps' catalog as their only release featuring them as a three-piece, with the incomparable Poison Ivy doubling on bass alongside her guitar duties. She also contributes lead vocals on "Kizmiaz," the only Cramps album track ever to feature her voice front and center. The record careens from the sociopathic wisdom of "People Ain't No Good," later covered by Nick Cave, to the gloriously deranged "Aloha From Hell" and "Cornfed Dames," finishing with a soulful, lovesick cover of Charlie Feathers' "It's Just That Song." Lead single "Can Your Pussy Do The Dog" was voted single of the year in Playboy's 1986 annual music poll, which may be the most perfectly Cramps accolade in history.

This limited pressing returns the album to its much-loved orange vinyl format, exactly as it should be. A date you simply cannot miss.
