Poliça - When We Stay Alive [Limited Edition]

Limited Edition, on white vinyl. When We Stay Alive by Poliça is about the experience of dealing with pain and loss, and changing the relationship with trauma. The album was released on January 31, 2020 and was inspired by an accident that occurred to the band's frontwoman, Channy Leaneagh, in 2018. 

While clearing ice off her roof in the winter of 2018, Leaneagh fell 10 feet and broke her L1 vertebrae, damaging her spine and leaving her unable to walk. While initially feeling like a curse, the accident gave Leaneagh time to reflect on her thoughts and confront old and new traumas. The album is described as "haunting and meditative" and follows Leaneagh as she finds herself again and reconnects with her band.
