Automatic - Signal

The debut album from Los Angeles trio Automatic, Signal introduced the band’s icy, hypnotic sound to the world. Formed by Izzy Glaudini (synths, vocals), Lola Dompé (drums, vocals), and Halle Saxon (bass, vocals), Automatic emerged from L.A.’s DIY scene in 2017 and quickly became a fixture on the city’s underground circuit.

On Signal, the group channels influences ranging from post-punk minimalism to krautrock repetition, weaving sparse electronics, propulsive rhythms, and deadpan vocal delivery into something stark yet magnetic. Each track pulses with a detached intensity, making Signal as suited to late-night dance floors as it is to solitary headphone sessions.
