Segall and Moothart originally launched Fuzz as an offshoot of their many other projects, but once they stepped into the studio with engineer Chris Woodhouse, the music pushed itself far beyond side project territory. These tracks draw from the earliest and rawest edges of heavy metal and psychedelic blues: the weight of Sabbath, the fire of Hendrix, the scrappy experimentation of underground groups like The Groundhogs, even flashes of Lobby Lloyde’s blown out guitar heroics.
