Wire - 10:20

Originally planned for Record Store Day 2020, 10:20 is now available as a standard LP/CD release via Pink Flag. The album offers a unique glimpse into Wire’s creative process. When performing live, the band typically draws from three categories: new songs, old songs, and “new old” songs—older tracks that have been reworked, often evolving into stage highlights.

Some of these reimagined pieces never found a home on previous albums, despite their strength. The best of them were captured in two key recording sessions: one from 2010 (originally linked to Red Barked Tree), and another from 2020, during the period around the Mind Hive album. Fittingly, the release also marks a decade since guitarist Matthew Simms joined the band.

The album is divided into two halves—one representing the 2010 session, the other from 2020—hence the title 10:20.
