The title reflects its role as an “interim release,” yet the material here is far from leftovers — it’s a fully realized collection showcasing Wilson’s creative range at a moment of intense artistic momentum.

The six-track, 37-minute album features four songs born from the Hand. Cannot. Erase. sessions and one piece written during the making of The Raven That Refused to Sing. Each track highlights Wilson’s signature blend of emotional depth, meticulous production, and genre-blurring composition.

The centerpiece is a stunning new version of “Don’t Hate Me,” originally recorded by Porcupine Tree in 1998. Built from a live performance captured on tour in Europe, the track was later expanded in the studio and transformed into a powerful duet between Wilson and longtime collaborator Ninet Tayeb.
