Released in late 2024 with a wide vinyl arrival in 2025, Aghori Mhori Mei serves as a "bruising and shadowy" return to form for the Smashing Pumpkins. After the sprawling, synth-heavy experimentation of their 33-song rock opera Atum, Billy Corgan, James Iha, and Jimmy Chamberlin pivoted sharply back to the foundational elements of their early 90s canon. Recorded in the immediate aftermath of Atum, this 10-track collection strips away the electronic flourishes to let "guitars, bass, drums, and spiking vocals" rule once again.
