Saint Etienne - The Night

Following the critical acclaim of 2021’s I've Been Trying To Tell You, British indie-pop mainstays Saint Etienne return with their 12th studio album, The Night. True to the band's long-standing tradition of immersive storytelling, this record serves as a cinematic escape from the friction of daily life. Designed to be a "calming, warm, and serene" experience, The Night captures the tranquility of the late-night hours, offering a lush soundscape for restless minds and a gentle respite from the relentless pace of the modern world.

The album marks a significant moment for the trio—Sarah Cracknell, Bob Stanley, and Pete Wiggs—as it is the first time they have recorded together in the same physical studio since 2019. Produced in collaboration with composer Augustin "Gus" Bousfield, the sessions took place between January and August 2024 across two distinct locations in Saltaire and Hove.
