Ministry - Twitch

Released as a centerpiece of Rhino’s Rocktober 2024 campaign, this Deluxe Edition of Twitch is the "vibrant and brilliant" final word on Ministry’s pivot into the avant-garde. While previous reissues focused on the core 1986 tracklist, this 180g black vinyl 2LP set expands the "cinematic noir" of Al Jourgensen’s vision by incorporating rare, out-of-print 12" mixes and extended versions. Produced primarily by Adrian Sherwood, the album’s "harsh, mechanical redundancy" and "psychotic sampling" are given newfound breath on this premium pressing.

This edition is particularly notable for its enhanced liner notes, which include guest commentary from Trent Reznor (Nine Inch Nails), who famously cited Twitch as a "hallucinatory revelation" that unsettled and influenced his own early creative process. From the "pulsating urgency" of "Over the Shoulder" to the "otherworldly wail" of the previously rare "Isle of Man (Version II)," this 2LP set captures the "unflinching honesty" of a band dismantling pop to build a machine.
