The second album from Austin punk icons Big Boys, originally released in 1983.

Fronted by the flamboyant and fearless Randy “Biscuit” Turner, with Tim Kerr on guitar, Chris Gates on bass, and drummer Rey Washam (Scratch Acid), Big Boys stood out in the early Texas punk scene by refusing to play by the rules. Instead of sticking to breakneck hardcore, they wove in skate-funk grooves, post-punk experimentation, and even a Kool & the Gang cover — all while championing inclusivity and crowd participation at their shows.

A staple of Thrasher’s early skate comps and a huge influence on the 1980s skate-punk explosion, Lullabies Help The Brain Grow captures the band’s fearless genre-blending spirit and their refusal to let punk be one-dimensional.
