That is the Teal Album, and its existence is genuinely funny.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eWhat saves it from novelty is how straight they play everything. \"Africa\" is note perfect. \"Everybody Wants To Rule The World\" and \"Take On Me\" get the same treatment, faithful arrangements with Rivers Cuomo's voice slotted in where the original singer was. Black Sabbath's \"Paranoid\" and ELO's \"Mr. Blue Sky\" sit next to TLC's \"No Scrubs\" and Michael Jackson's \"Billie Jean,\" which should be absurd and mostly is not. \"Stand By Me\" closes it.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eMark Rankin produced and mixed with the band, Suzy Shinn handled vocals, and the whole thing was cut quickly at Steakhouse Studios and The Village.
