With Ryan Moore gone, live drums give way to programmed beats, and the songs turn colder, more minimal, more haunted. The Silverman's synths do the atmospheric heavy lifting while Martijn de Kleer's violin returns in a subtler version of the sound the band worked in during the mid-eighties, and Niels van Hoorn's horns drift through the seams. \"Our Dominion\" builds a private paradise and then watches capital pave it over. \"Birdie\" is a caged bird singing to an evacuated house. \"Wax and Feathers\" closes the record with Icarus refusing to be talked down.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp dir=\"ltr\"\u003eLongtime listeners tend to file this one closer to \u003cem\u003eThe Tower\u003c\/em\u003e and Ka-Spel's solo work than to the fuzzed-out psych of \u003cem\u003eNemesis Online\u003c\/em\u003e. It is the Dots at their eeriest and most lyric-forward, from a band that has spent four decades building an enormous catalog with almost no help from the mainstream.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp dir=\"ltr\"\u003eThis CD edition on Caciocavallo collects all twelve tracks.
