En Attendant Ana - Lost And Found

Since 2014, Parisian quintet En Attendant Ana has been quietly perfecting a unique brand of pop—melding nouveau French cool with C86 indie and the gauzy jangle of Flying Nun Records. Their debut 12-inch Songs From The Cave (2017) drew critical praise for its fresh, melodic sensibility and atmospheric charm.

Lost and Found opens with the clang of guitar strings before erupting into a whirlwind of sound—slashing guitars, droning keys, wailing trumpet, and crashing drums. What follows are nine more tracks of urgent, luminous pop: from the high-octane anthem “This Could Be” to the kinetic pulse of “Ré,” complete with euphoric vocal hooks and Camille Fréchou’s trumpet flourishes reminiscent of John Entwistle’s horn lines from The Who Sell Out.

Frontwoman Margaux Bouchaudon’s voice—melodic, yearning, and unmistakably her own—evokes the cool detachment of Laetitia Sadier or Nico, while standing firmly apart. The band’s clarity of vision and confident songwriting mark Lost and Found as the work of a group both grounded in tradition and pushing forward with promise.
